Sabre Deals & Travel Extras was my complete rethinking of Sabre's approach to in-destination suppliers business, with some Travel Agent-specific deals on top. Travel Extras are a traditionally tough market - these are the tours, restaraunts, show tickets, etc. that you do once you've arrived at your destination. It's incredibly fragmented and booking volumes are very low.

The first step in reimaging how it all would work was exploring new business models. What I ended up with was a cost model which simplified interaction with the businesses and didn't require a large salesforce for Sabre. The next business design decision was to not build a booking engine. The solution I pursued allowed what are traditionally non-tech savvy businesses to very easily integrate with the site.

I then wrote out the user stories and sketched and built the first round of wireframes using Keynote and OmniGraffle. I then worked with the User Experience team to iterate and explore various interaction models before settling on a final front-end.

Launch day blew through the traffic record on AgentStream, and we recieved very positive press on this new concept that had not been done before.

Today I handle day to day operations of the site, and am responsible for growing the pool of suppliers in the system.
