Sabre Email Parketing Portfolio

Since January 2010, I have managed Sabre Media's email marketing portfolio. When I took it over, it was a very small one-off email, having only sold a handful of issues. Today, it spans three different email products that reach 40,000 travel agents and nearly 1 million end-travelers, and revenue has grown over 10x.

The Sabre HotSheet communicates special deals to travel agents. The ePromo sends targeted campaigns on behalf of the agencies to their customers. The Journeys eZine is a monthly newsletter going out to over 500,000 agency customers.

One key challenge to overcome has been standardizing the operations of collecting, creating, and sending the emails. I have worked with the sales team to simplify content collection. I then worked to outsource the campaign creation to our operations team in Montevideo, Uruguay. It can be quite a challenge to create custom campaigns with teams and customers spanning nearly every time zone.

Throughout the life of the emails, I have also handled the design and enhancement of each - doing extensive A/B testing of designs and delivery times to find to the most effective solution. A challenge has been structuring the hierarchy of each email to drive the user to the action we desire.

Today I'm responsible for overall management of the portfolio, although I have mostly operationalized day to day operations to be run through our Montevideo team.
